Anton Halfmann, Jr., 84 of Frelsburg, Texas died May 16, 2020 in Columbus, Texas.

Anton was born on December 22, 1935 in Frelsburg, Texas to Anton and Vlasta (Kulhanek) Halfmann. He was the fourth child of nine siblings. He was baptized, made his First Communion and was Confirmed at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Growing up in Frelsburg, Anton attended school at St. Joseph Catholic School across the road from the family home place. He also attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School. After returning from the service, Anton worked as a carpenter for several construction builders including Minarcik Construction and A.N. Evans Construction. Anton was an active member at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Frelsburg KC's. Attending mass every weekend, you would find his truck parked in the same spot and at times, you would see his dog sitting on back. He enjoyed gardening, sports, fishing, visiting with family and friends and most of all, deer hunting. He looked forward to his yearly trip to Colorado making the trip for about 44 years. Even after suffering many illnesses, Anton enjoyed having coffee with friends at Ernie's, in New Ulm several times a week. Anton will be missed by many for his help and kindness.

Anton is survived by his siblings Gladys Stolle, Ellen Vasek, Jurline Huebel, Virginia Faldyn, Joe Halfmann, Raymond Halfmann and wife Sharon, Janice Kasmiersky and husband A.K., Dianne Seidel and husband Edwin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
