Pearlie Mae Carter "MaMa Julie", 87, of Columbus, Texas, passed away on April 27, 2019 in Columbus.

She was born on June 19, 1931 to Eddie Junious and Pearline (Booker) Junious in Columbus, TX. She was married to David Lee Carter.

Pearlie was a homemaker, loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed fishing.

Pearlie is survived by her daughters, Annie Porter, Cora Carter, and Shinola Moore and husband Kevin of Columbus, TX; stepdaughters, Barbara Tweety and Jo Ann Johnson both from Columbus, TX; sons, William Earl Wilson and wife Delica of Austin, TX, Eckstine Carter, David Wayne Carter, Lane Carter and wife Stacy, and Rodney Carter all from Columbus, TX; stepson, David George Carter and wife Earline of La Grange, TX; 31 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Willis of Columbus, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Junious and Pearline Booker Junious; sons, Jimmy "Creature" Carter and Robert James Junious; 5 sisters, 2 brothers, and 2 grandsons, Anthony Earl Carter and Michael Todd Tweety.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm; and on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas with Rev. Michael Sutton officiating.

Burial will take place in Willing Workers Cemetery in Columbus, Texas.

Pallbearers are Curtis Carter, Christopher Carter, David Carter, Cordrick Carter, Jimmy Carter, Brandon Carter, and Phillip Carter. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Harris, Michael Hinson, and Jacob Collins.

In her memory, memorials are suggested to the Green Grove Baptist Church, 516 Travis St., Alleyton, TX 78935.
