Beatrice Hrachovy Baron

Beatrice Hrachovy Baron, age 86, passed away on January 27, 2019 in Columbus, Texas. She was born on November 1, 1932 in Ellinger, Texas to Joseph and Julia (Bordovsky) Hrachovy. She married L.T. Baron on November 25, 1952 in Ellinger.

Bea was co-owner and bookkeeper of Columbus Animal Clinic for over 52 years before retiring in 2015. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar Society of St. Anthony. She enjoyed traveling, cross-country skiing, cooking, tending to her roses and spending time outdoors. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, and working puzzles. She most loved spending time with her family and having holiday get-togethers at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Emil Hrachovy and his wife Claudia, Frank Hrachovy and his wife Julie, Henry Hrachovy and his wife Mary, Jim Hrachovy and his wife Viola, Laddie Hrachovy, and Edmund Hrachovy, and sisters Agnes Daniels and her husband Eddie, Alice Krenek and her husband Lad and Henrietta Hrachovy.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years L.T. Baron, sons Fred Baron (Toni) of El Campo, Richard Baron (Debbie) of Columbus, Kenneth Baron (Debbie) of Columbus, daughter Audrey (E.J.) Huntley of Houston, sister Bernadette Kovar of Fayetteville, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held on January 31, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger with Deacon Robert Jasek officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Fred Baron, Richard Baron, Dylan Sandrock, Eric Sandrock, Joey Barten and E.J. Huntley.
