Beverly Jean Jarratt

May 29, 1930 - November 10, 2018

Beverly Jean Jarratt was born in Stamford, Texas to Melvin and Mabel Amerson on May 29, 1930. She passed away on November 10, 2018 in Bernardo, Texas. She was the oldest of four children.

She is survived by daughters Marcia Muschiano of Tucson, Arizona and husband David. Jeannine Bailey of Houston, Texas and husband Mark. Joleen Scofield of Cat Spring, Texas and husband Joel. Two grand-daughters Gina Muschino and Angela Perez and husband Nathan

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Dudley Jarratt, brothers Melvin and Richard Amerson and sister Sandra, and twin grandsons Cole and Conner.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in September of 1958 in Tucson, AZ and was a faithful servant of Jehovah for over 60 years. Beverly supported her husband in the Central Tucson AZ congregation and then the Nederland, Texas congregation before moving to Houston where Dudley served as an elder in the South and Sharpstown congregations.

Beverly enjoyed numerous theocratic privileges with her husband Charles Dudley Jarratt. Serving with him in the substitute Circuit Overseer work as well as pre-convention work in Arizona, Texas and Louisiana.

Beverly was a hard worker. She worked from the age of 13 at the pharmacy in Hobbs, New Mexico and then she worked in the movie business as a ticket agent. She then tried her hand in the banking industry where she became the first woman banking officer in Tucson, Arizona. Beverly supported Dudley's construction business called Valley Five construction. Dudley would bid on projects and Beverly would review the bid and write-up the contract increasing the bid so the family could make a profit. When the family moved to Texas, Beverly helped her husband turn a profit in Trim Line of Southeast Texas.

Beverly loved her family and loved being surrounded by people. So she planned her weeks around theocratic gatherings such as meetings, assemblies, and annual conventions. Beverly's greatest memories were from these meetings as well as family trips to the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Beverly looked forward to the new world especially the resurrection. She looked forward in re-uniting with Dudley and shaking hands with Isaiah the prophet as well as other faithful ones from the Bible. She longed for the fulfillment of Isaiah 65:22- They will not build for someone else to inhabit, Nor will they plant for others to eat. For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, And the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full.

A memorial service for Beverly will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 162 Selman Dr., Sealy, TX 77474.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Bellville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sealy, TX or Brazos Valley Hospice, 302 E. Bluebell Rd., Brenham, TX 77833.
