Steven Clair Lindquist

August 22, 1957 - April 12, 2018

Steven Clair Lindquist, 60, of New Ulm/Galveston, passed away Thursday, April 12th, 2018, from complications of Lung Cancer.

Steven was born August 22nd, 1957, to Albin Russell and Shirley Jeneane Cain Lindquist, in Des Moines, Iowa. Steven graduated from Westbury High School, in Houston, Texas.

Steven worked in sales at Holcombe Lindquist, Inc., a family owned Piano and Organ Retailer in Houston and surrounding areas. He left the family business to go into the Entertainment Business, with Pace Productions, managing and directing music concerts and productions. He especially loved producing and directing "Outdoor Show Productions held in Large Indoor Venues". Managing music concerts in Jones Hall and other productions in the Astrodome. These would include "Mud Bog Racing", "Tractor Pulling", and "Monster Truck Shows". He moved to Kentucky and joined a large National Production Company, managing shows in different parts of the US before moving back to Houston to form and own Dynamite Sports, Inc., producing outdoor sporting events in Texas.

In the last few years, Steve found his calling as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor and recovery coach in Galveston, Texas.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Danielle Nicole Lindquist, of Temple, Texas, one granddaughter, Abigail Elizabeth Turner. His father, A. Russell Lindquist and wife, Annette of New Ulm, Texas. Sister Carla Lindquist Jacobs and husband Marc of Richmond, Virginia. Brother William "Bill" D. Lindquist of Katy, Texas. Niece Melissa Jacobs Linkous and husband Jason of Mechanicsville, Virginia. Nephews Mathew Jacobs of Richmond, Virginia and William "Billy" D. Lindquist II and wife Kay Kay , and Kirby Dale Lindquist of Katy, Texas.

He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Jeneane Cain Lindquist.

Burial and Graveside Services will be held Saturday April 21st at 1 p.m. at The Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Frelsburg, Texas. Pastor David Roberts of Houston, will be attending under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home.
