What a humble man Jerry was, always with a smile and a bow tie as his trademark! He definitely will be missed, as this world is in need of more men like Jerry Mikeska.

Our sympathy to the family, may God bless each of you. Mr. Jerry was one of the kindest persons around and always with a smile, a handshake and even a hug. He loved his country and served her well. He is loved by many and will be missed. He left a fine and delicious legacy that will always remind us of him. God bless the family, and we offer prayers for comfort.

Jerry always hosted an annual BBQ to honor all the area law enforcement officers. He was beloved by everyone who got to know him. He was a Columbus institution and widely respected by all. He had a great life and will always be remembered in a fond way.

Live in peace, my friend. Heaven must smell like BBQ! I've enjoyed meeting you in the restaurant as well as running into you in H-E-B Columbus. Another great man from the greatest generation gone, but not forgotten.

To Marcy and family:
Jerry and I go way back in our acquaintance leaving me with many great memories of our life experiences we enjoyed sharing. I was one who enjoyed eating that barbecue off the butcher paper at his downtown location. Other memories are my privilege of knowing and being a close friend of such an outstanding man who was a landmark in his community and being so active in his many contributions as a citizen. Your family can be very proud of his life and the great number of people he touched. SO OUTSTANDING !!

To Marcy, Mark and those beautiful granddaughters--
I can't help but be sad because we have lost such a kind, funny, giving, loving man, but I can be happy to know that Heaven is a much more lively place now that Jerry Mikeska is there! I can just imagine him walking in and saying "GOOD to see you!" to Jesus! What a good friend he was to me and what a joy he brought to our office every day he visited. He is truly missed!
Prayers of peace and comfort to you all.

Marcy and Family

Our deepest sympathy for loss of your dad. Jerry was a one of a kind. He always had something to share that we all could learn from and put to use in our own lives. Most importantly his infectious smile and giving heart. His hugs were the best, his love ever abounding. He helped many people in his lifetime and shared with all. His blessings in Heaven will be overflowing and he will continue that smile we will never forget. He will be smiling down on all who knew and loved him for the wonderful person he was.
Gods Blessing to his family.
