My condolences to the family and love ones. I can only remember Garland from high school days many years. He was always cheerful with a natural smile regardless of the day. Looking back this is what I remember and I was happy in later years for his success. It is a time of mourning due to the loss of a love one, but it is also a time to reflect on the cheerful times you had and remember those good times shared with Garland. Remember those unforgettable smiles he was famous for and the kindness of his heart. Remember the good times, bring a smile to your face, and enlighten heart of remembrance. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Garland Jr. was a friendly and generous person who listened well. To the family, I encourage you to remember although his death was sudden, death itself is merely a period of temporary separation. If we believe in Jesus Christ and have faith- which all of us have a measure of, we will be united with all our believing loved ones. Stay strong and obedient in the Christian faith.
Prayerfully and lovingly,
Cousin Deborah Mitchell
